And just like that…its over (a personal reflection on change)

September 2, 2022

If you’re a fan of “Sex and the City,” you’ll remember the phrase “And just like that” from main character Carrie Bradshaw. These words have been on repeat in my head for the past few days.

Lately, I’ve been reflecting on everything in my life that has changed in what seems like such a short time.

At the beginning of the summer, I announced that I was taking a “writing pause.” After years of writing and recording blogs every week, my soul needed a break. A break that allowed me to take a very meaningful pause to go inward and receive guidance in all areas of my life, not just writing. And yes, I did get the guidance I needed-we’ll get to that later.

And just like that…summer is almost over, our new intuition program is complete, and my time in New York has come to a close. Let me explain.

It all started with a new journal I bought myself a few months ago. I wrote “Intuition” on the cover and started to write down all the intuitive hits I received. Beacons in our community have been begging us to create a course about intuition for years. I trusted the process, and finally, this year, I knew it was time to birth this course to life.

When I told my team about my idea for the intuition course, everyone knew it was divine timing.

Dawn (Reiki Master, Lead Reiki Instructor, Intuitive) rolled up her sleeves and started to draft ideas in her own intuition journal. Madeleine (Reiki Master, our extraordinary copywriter) helped create a language for the program and came up with the name. Rachel (Reiki Master, Customer Success Specialist) took notes and helped us organize the materials. Shmuel (my husband and our “MacGyver,” there is no problem he can’t solve) created the systems we needed to make it all happen, and the Awaken Your Intuition Course was born.

And just like that…the Awaken Your Intuition program for this year is over.

It was so fulfilling to witness the beacons who went through the live course open up their intuitive field and step into their personal power week by week. Just like the past two years, this transformative experience went by so fast!

Two years ago, in August 2020, I created the Thriving Empath Facebook Group for Women.

After years of helping women heal trauma, work through fear and step into their power, I realized that many who are highly sensitive to energy or take on the suffering of others feel alone, unsupported, and misunderstood. This online sisterhood became a much-needed place of support for empaths, natural givers, and caregivers.

And just like that…we celebrated reaching 3,000 Facebook group members this week.

Women who tend to give more than receive need a safe place to feel seen, heard, and virtually hugged. Creating such a supportive online space for them has been an honor.

Seven years ago, in September 2015, my husband and I moved from Atlanta to New York.

Being empty nesters gave us the opportunity to live by one of the Beacons of Change 12 Practices for Living at Full Power: Turn challenges into opportunities.

We sold the house in Atlanta, downsized our lives, and set off on a new adventure. We love our laid-back neighborhood in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Prospect Park, only minutes from our apartment, became our sanctuary during the pandemic when New York was in lockdown.

Teaching in Atlanta over the summer awakened an old longing in our hearts.

My husband and I traveled back to Atlanta for the first time since the pandemic this summer. Since most of our work is done virtually, we have the freedom to live anywhere with a good Wi-Fi connection. We will always appreciate the time we had in New York and miss the city’s culture and energy, but the truth is, we’ve outgrown it. It’s time for us to leave.

And just like that…we will be moving back to Atlanta towards the end of the year!

The pauses I’ve taken allowed me to receive higher guidance and the inner wisdom that, apparently, there is a lot more change on the horizon.

“Change is the only constant in life,” wrote Heraclitus, a Greek philosopher. No wonder I chose to call my brand Beacons of Change!

Here are the Changes on the Horizon…

  • I will continue to create blogs and vlogs for you, but not every week; whenever my intuition guides me.
  • I am planning to dedicate time in 2023 to write a book. This is a long time coming. It’s time….
  • My signature workshop, “Women of Wisdom,” is cooking and will be birthed into the world in a few months. I see myself traveling to bring women together for circles of wisdom, love, and light.
  • My husband and I are planning our move to Atlanta and are excited to celebrate the New Year in our new home.

My mission is and always will be to serve as a Beacon, empowering women to live, love, and lead at full power.

We will continue raising the vibration in the world, one woman at a time. How I do this might change forms, but my mission has remained the same.

It’s no longer what I do. It’s who I am.

And how about you, Beacon? What changes are on your horizon?

What endings and new beginnings are you open to creating…just like that?

Michal
